Faculty Senate President


The Faculty Senate President is the elected representative of the University Faculty in matters pertaining to the Faculty and Faculty Senate. The Faculty Senate President is the senior officer and spokesperson for adopted policy of the Faculty Senate and Faculty. She presides at meetings of the Faculty Senate and its Executive Committee. She represents the Senate and Faculty in discussions with the Oregon State University administration. She represents the Senate and Faculty in discussions with the Chancellor, the State Board of Higher Education, the State Legislature, the media, and other organized groups outside the University. The Faculty Senate President determines agenda for meetings of the Executive Committee, and consults with the Executive Committee in establishing agenda for meetings of the Faculty Senate. She administers the office of the Faculty Senate and oversees retention of the records of the Senate.

Faculty Senate


The Faculty Senate is the governing body at Oregon State University, representing faculty in all academic and administrative units. It has legislative responsibility regarding academic policies, educational standards, curricula, academic regulations, and faculty welfare, and makes recommendations to the university administration.
